On the occasion of Christmas, a ceremony was held at Mar Elias High School in Darb Al-Seem in the south of Lebanon, under the auspices of Ambassador Dr. Majed Chahin, responsible for institutional development at the Intergovernmental Institution IIMSAM which is the permanent international observer at the United Nations Economic and Social Council, in the presence of a representative of His Eminence Archbishop Mgr. Saeed Saeed, Head of the Secondary School Father Medlej Tamer, Head of Darb Al- Seem Municipality Mr. Maroun Juha, the students’ families and the educational staff.

Father Medlej praised the activities of Ambassador Chahin, which aim to sow joy in the hearts of people in many Lebanese regions. 

In this occasion the ambassador honored the teachers, offered them a certificate of appreciation and a money donation for their message and sacrifices in order to build a promising generation.

The ceremony ended with the distribution of gifts to the children. Then Chahin went with his team to the Darb Al-Seem Municipality Center and presented a sum of money to the employees.

 The Ambassador Dr. Chahin offered purchasing vouchers to members of the General Directorate of the State Security, out of his belief in the essential role that this Directorate plays in preserving the security of the nation, and emphasizing the necessity of continuing to support this agency like other security agencies.

 The Ambassador Dr. Chahin donated clothes and shoes for boarding orphan School children, along with purchasing vouchers for the educational and administrative staff for the Saint Michael Al-Muradiya in Byblos District, affiliated with the Archiocese of Jounieh.

The Ambasssador Dr. Chahin contributed to equipping and furnishing the classrooms of students of Saint Elias Darb El Sim school, affiliated with the Maronite Archdiocese of Sidon and Deir el Al Qamar , offering gifts, in addition to allocating purchasing vouchers for the administrative and educational staff.
