The substantial devaluation of the Lebanese pound cause by USD shortages within the country increased the hardship of the Lebanese people and especially the Lebanese army.
The affected groups are members of the military establishment, the soldiers salary hardly exceeds 100 US dollars, an amount that is not enough to secure basic needs.
His excellency’s vision and ethics to support the Lebanese army won’t let him stand idly by. Therefore, in honor of the military’s great efforts and sacrifices, his excellency has donated 17,250 vouchers till now as a first step to cover food rations for the soldiers and their family members.
The Ambassador Dr. Chahin offered purchasing vouchers to members of the General Directorate of the State Security, out of his belief in the essential role that this Directorate plays in preserving the security of the nation, and emphasizing the necessity of continuing to support this agency like other security agencies.
The Ambassador Dr. Chahin donated clothes and shoes for boarding orphan School children, along with purchasing vouchers for the educational and administrative staff for the Saint Michael Al-Muradiya in Byblos District, affiliated with the Archiocese of Jounieh.
The Ambasssador Dr. Chahin contributed to equipping and furnishing the classrooms of students of Saint Elias Darb El Sim school, affiliated with the Maronite Archdiocese of Sidon and Deir el Al Qamar , offering gifts, in addition to allocating purchasing vouchers for the administrative and educational staff.
